111,461 Vehicles Cross Cikampek Main Toll During Easter Holiday
JAKARTA - Traffic on the Trans Java Toll Road increased during the long Easter holiday. The surge was evident during the H-1 to H+1 period, 2–4 April 2026.
PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded 111,461 vehicles heading to the eastern region through Cikampek Main Toll Gate.
“The figure represents a 21.03% increase compared to normal traffic of 92,096 vehicles,” said Corporate Secretary and Legal PT JTT Ria Marlinda Paallo in an official statement on Sunday (5/4/2026).
A total of 38,389 vehicles passed through Cikampek Main Toll Gate. This number rose 39.40% from normal conditions of 27,539 vehicles.
JTT temporarily implemented contraflow traffic engineering on KM 55 to KM 47 towards Jakarta on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road. This measure was at the discretion of the police.
“For vehicles from the eastern Trans Java region heading to Jakarta through Cikampek Main Toll Gate during 2–4 April 2026, 106,386 vehicles were recorded, a 29.63% increase from normal traffic of 82,072 vehicles,” Ria stated.
Traffic surges also occurred on several other sections, particularly in Central Java and East Java.
At Kalikangkung Toll Gate, vehicles heading to Semarang reached 58,747 units. This was an 11.72% increase from normal conditions of 52,584 vehicles.
Outbound traffic from Semarang was recorded at 54,046 vehicles. This volume increased 20.85% from normal conditions of 44,722 vehicles.
A similar situation was observed at Banyumanik Toll Gate. Vehicles heading to Solo reached 86,624 units, or a 16.37% increase from 74,439 vehicles.
East Java also recorded increases. At Warugunung Toll Gate, vehicles heading to Surabaya reached 68,651 units. This was an 11.88% increase from 61,359 vehicles.
Traffic heading to Jakarta from this point was recorded at 69,978 vehicles. This volume increased 18.65% from normal conditions of 58,978 vehicles.
A higher surge occurred at Kejapanan Main Toll Gate. Vehicles heading to Malang reached 92,807 units, or a 24.61% increase from 74,479 vehicles.
Traffic heading to Surabaya was recorded at 88,720 vehicles. This figure increased 20.39% from 73,696 vehicles.
At Singosari Toll Gate, vehicles heading to Malang reached 52,516 units. This was a 19.34% increase from normal conditions of 44,004 vehicles.
Traffic heading to Surabaya was recorded at 46,158 vehicles. This volume increased 23.52% from 37,370 vehicles.
“We urge Trans Java toll road users to prioritise safety, plan journeys well, ensure vehicle and driver conditions are optimal, and confirm sufficient fuel and electronic money balance before travelling,” she emphasised.
