110,000 Visitors Targeted for Ancol During Long Holiday

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The management of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol is targeting 110,000 visitors to its family tourist destination located in North Jakarta during the Ascension of Jesus Christ long holiday period from 14-17 May 2026.

“We are targeting 110,000 people to visit the recreation areas in the Ancol area during the four-day long weekend,” said Corporate Communication of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk, Daniel Windriatmoko in Jakarta, Friday.

He said that on the first day of the Ascension of Jesus Christ holiday, Thursday (14/5), 42,635 people visited Ancol.

Then, on Friday until 14:00 WIB, 19,000 people were recorded in the Ancol area and this number continues to increase until tonight.

According to him, the public who choose to spend time with their families on vacation in Ancol generally come from the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi (Jabodetabek) and Banten areas.

Meanwhile, the favorite destination that attracts visitors is the beach area, which can be enjoyed with family and children at an affordable price.

In addition to the beach area, said Daniel, there is also Dufan, an adrenaline-pumping attraction that is popular with millennials and Gen Z. Then, Sea World, an educational attraction about marine life that is often used to educate children about marine animals.

Daniel also urged visitors to bring equipment that can support activities while enjoying the holiday in the Ancol area.

He also asked visitors to monitor official weather reports from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG), and to follow the directions of officers in the Ancol Taman Impian area.

Previously, the management of Ancol had prepared an educational program in commemoration of International Biodiversity Day.

In addition, there is also a commemoration of animal day, including Sun Bear, Binturong and Turtle in May 2026.

The program is titled BioKids Color Day which will be held on Saturday-Sunday, 16-17 May 2026, at Sea World and Samudra Ancol.

At Sea World Ancol, the event will take place starting at 11:15 WIB at the Amphitheater, while at Samudra it will start at 14:00 WIB at the Taman Rumput.

Ancol also presents the Three Package Promo at Dufan and the Five Package Promo at Sea World, Samudra, Atlantis and Jakarta Bird Land which are ongoing until 30 May 2026.
