11 suspects rounded up
MAGELANG, Central Java: Police have arrested 11 people they suspect of involvement in several acts of theft in various parts of the province.
In Magelang police arrested three people who allegedly robbed and stabbed a 34-year-old man named Liauw Ping An.
Magelang District Police Chief Lt. Col. Soeparno said the three had also been involved in a series of motor vehicle thefts as well as other acts of larceny.
Meanwhile, police in Salatiga arrested two people they said were "specialists" in motor vehicle theft. They confiscated a motorbike from the suspects.
In Semarang, city police arrested six suspected criminals, including three alleged to be "specialists" in the theft of electronic equipment, Antara reported. (imn)
