11 New Flats to Emerge in Jakarta, Here Are the Locations

The DKI Jakarta Province is preparing 11 new blocks of flats. The new flats will be located in Muara Angke, Marunda C, Komarudin, Rorotan IX, Cakung Km 2, Tongkol Phase III, Marunda A, Marunda B, Semper Cakung Drain, Bojong Indah, and Daan Mogot Km 18. Of the 11 blocks of flats being prepared, the construction of Marunda Cluster C and Rorotan IX flats are the priority and will be built in the near future. DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung explained that the Marunda Cluster C flats are planned to consist of five towers, with one tower to be built using the regional budget. Meanwhile, of the seven towers at Rorotan IX, two will be built using the regional budget. “Two that will be built in the near future are Marunda Cluster C with five towers and Rorotan IX with seven towers,” said Pramono, as quoted on Sunday. According to Pramono, in building these flats, his administration is synergising with the Ministry of Housing and Residential Areas to provide decent housing through the three million homes programme. “There will be nine more flats built jointly between the central government and the DKI Jakarta Government in Jakarta,” he asserted. He hopes that the provision of vertical housing will be a solution for residents to have decent housing in Jakarta, amidst limited land and high house prices. “I hope the construction of these flats can answer the anxieties, especially for young married couples, to own a home in Jakarta,” he said.
