Eleven flights on the Middle East route from and to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport were cancelled today, Monday, 2 March 2026.

“According to operational data updates until 22:10 WIB, 11 flights on the Middle East route were cancelled today (2 March 2026) as a result of airspace closure policies in the region,” stated Aziz Fahmi Harahap, Assistant Deputy for Communication and Legal Affairs at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, in a statement received by Kompas.com on Monday morning.

Fahmi stated that cumulatively from Saturday, 28 February to Monday, 2 March 2026, a total of 38 flights on the Soetta-Middle East route have been cancelled.

Despite this, Fahmi noted that flight operations at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport today remained stable and controlled.

As a demonstration of its commitment to ensuring passenger comfort, Soekarno-Hatta Airport management has implemented service recovery measures, including providing light refreshments to passengers affected by flight cancellations or delays.

“At the same time, we ensure that information flows quickly through coordination with the relevant airlines, particularly in the process of rescheduling and refunds in accordance with each airline’s regulations,” said Fahmi.

Operational control is also continuously monitored through the Airport Operation Control Centre (AOCC), which functions as a unified control centre. Through this system, coordination among airlines, AirNav Indonesia, security personnel, and airport operational units operates under a single command, allowing each development to be addressed responsively and systematically.

“We urge prospective passengers to proactively check flight status through official airline channels before heading to the airport to ensure smooth travel,” said Fahmi.

Prospective passengers can contact the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Contact Centre at 172 to obtain the latest updates.
