The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance reports that as of Tuesday, 14 April 2026, 11.2 million taxpayers have submitted their Annual Tax Notification (SPT) for income tax or PPh via Coretax. The deadline for individual taxpayers has been extended to 30 April 2026. The number represents approximately 73.48% of the reporting target of 15.27 million. “The progress of Annual SPT PPh reporting as of 14 April 2026 (Tax Year 2025) records 11,226,740 SPTs,” states the official DJP statement on Wednesday, 15 April 2025. This figure comprises 10,927,450 reports from individual taxpayers, 296,393 from business entities, and 2,896 from business entities with different fiscal years. Meanwhile, Coretax account activations by DJP have reached 18,046,467. The original deadline for individual taxpayers was 31 March, while for business entities it is 30 April. However, the government has extended the reporting deadline for individual taxpayers to 30 April 2026. In line with the additional time granted, the Directorate General of Taxes has also waived administrative sanctions for taxpayers reporting during the extension period. “From 31 March 2026 to 30 April 2026, administrative sanctions are waived, including fines and interest,” states the official DJP announcement from late March. The waiver applies to individual taxpayers filing their SPT PPh for the 2025 tax year; paying Article 29 Income Tax for the 2025 tax year; or settling any shortfall in payments and deposits of Article 29 Income Tax based on the SPT PPh for which the submission deadline has been extended.
