11,014 Social Aid Recipients Removed: Check the Complete Requirements for PKH and BPNT Beneficiaries

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - As many as 11,014 people or social assistance (bansos) beneficiaries of the Family Hope Programme (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) for the second quarter of 2026. The removal was carried out because the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) found that the economic conditions of those 11,014 individuals had improved. “We have cleaned up the community that previously received bansos; we have reviewed that they are people who should not receive bansos or have been cleaned up around 11,014 people. That is what we call again as inclusion error,” said BPS Chief Amalia Adininggar at the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) office in Central Jakarta on Monday (13/4/2026). From the latest data update, those tens of thousands of people have been removed and are no longer recorded as groups eligible to receive bansos. This data update is in response to Presidential Instruction No. 4 of 2025, which aims to ensure that social assistance and community empowerment are more on target. “This data is crucial but very determining for bansos or government assistance to be on target,” said Social Minister (Mensos) Saifullah Yusuf. The purpose of the PKH programme is to support family welfare through cash assistance.
