Jakarta – The Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Amalia Adininggar, stated that 11,014 people are no longer recipients of social assistance under the Family Hope Programme (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) for the second quarter of 2026. These thousands of individuals were removed based on the results of the tri-monthly update to the National Single Socio-Economic Data (DTSEN). DTSEN data indicates an inclusion error, or targeting mistake, affecting 11,014 social assistance recipients. She explained that this number encompasses 0.06 per cent of the total 18.15 million recipient families from the first quarter. “DTSEN is becoming more organised and solid because we have cleaned up the community that previously received social assistance. We examined and removed around 11,014 people who no longer need social assistance. This is what we refer to again as an inclusion error,” Amalia said during a press conference at the Ministry of Social Affairs office on Monday, 13 April 2026. DTSEN records show an increase in decile based on the economic improvement of these 11,014 families. Therefore, this group of society has been removed from the list of social assistance recipients according to the latest DTSEN. “And earlier, there were around 1,511 families in deciles 5 to 10. This is already part of the inclusion error in those 11,014,” she added. She emphasised that the data cleansing is carried out to ensure that social assistance distribution is on target and received by those in need. “This updated data is what we are submitting to the Minister of Social Affairs today as the basis for social assistance distribution in the second quarter,” Amalia concluded.
