108 teachers get diarrhea

PANDEGLANG, Banten: Some 108 junior high school teachers in the province have suffered diarrhea after consuming contaminated food during a two-week-long workshop in a small town.

Subiyah, a participant of the workshop, said numerous teachers had complained about the unhygienic food to the organizing committee of the workshop but there had been no response.

"Many teachers were unable to fully participate in the workshop after feeling queasy and vomiting, while many others had to be hospitalized because no medical facilities were available," she said. -- Antara
