108 Million People Have Joined Free Health Check Programme

President Prabowo Subianto revealed that the Free Health Check (CKG) programme has reached approximately 108 million people, particularly since its launch in February 2025. He detailed that in 2025, 70.2 million people underwent health examinations through the programme. Meanwhile, by the end of June 2026, the number of participants had reached 59.5 million. “Since its launch in February 2025, the free health check programme has reached 108 million people. In 2025 there were 70.2 million participants, and by the end of June 2026 there were 59.5 million, with some citizens participating in examinations during both periods,” Prabowo said during the MPR Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR and DPD in commemoration of the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia at the Nusantara Building, Senayan Parliament Complex, Central Jakarta, Friday (14/8/2026). On the other hand, Prabowo also highlighted that some members of the public are still afraid to undergo health checks because they worry about discovering illnesses they may have. He then alluded to the possibility that there are still DPR members who have not undergone health examinations. Furthermore, Prabowo stated that free health check services are now available at 10,255 community health centres (Puskesmas) spread across 38 provinces in Indonesia. According to him, the government continues to strive for equitable service distribution. “The government has built 66 regional general hospitals (RSUD) in the 3T regions today; 20 new RSUDs have been built and are operational. The state has also fully covered the national health insurance premiums for 96.8 million underprivileged Indonesian citizens,” Prabowo said.
