JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - A syndicate responsible for the theft of 108 Lululemon bags at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, has been uncovered.

Three suspects, identified by their initials R, A, and F, were arrested by police in the Karawaci area, Tangerang City, on Wednesday (May 29, 2026) in the early hours of the morning.

The repeated activity has caused the exporting company, PT Pungkook Indonesia One, to suffer losses of more than IDR 1 billion.

“The theft occurred repeatedly, causing the exporting company to suffer losses of more than IDR 1 billion,” said the Head of Criminal Investigation at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police, Kompol Yandri Mono, in a written statement on Thursday (May 14, 2026).

Officially named Lululemon Athletica, the apparel brand offers premium activewear products such as yoga leggings, running clothes, training wear, and sports accessories.

The brand is known for its premium athleisure trend, which combines the comfort of sportswear with everyday casual wear.

Lululemon generally has higher prices compared to other sports brands because it targets the premium price market.

“The company (PT Pungkook Indonesia One) sent 4,749 Lululemon bags from Grobogan to Shanghai via Garuda Indonesia cargo,” said Yandri in a written statement on Thursday (May 14, 2026).

The goods were shipped on April 10, 2026, and arrived at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on April 13, 2026.

The goods were scheduled to be transported to Shanghai using Garuda Indonesia flight GA 0894 on the Jakarta-Shanghai route on April 14, 2026.

However, on April 20, 2026, the company received a report from a customer in Shanghai that 108 bags were missing.

“As a result of the incident, the victim suffered losses of IDR 213 million,” said Yandri.

After the loss was reported to airport authorities, police conducted an investigation by examining CCTV footage in the RA BST area and the Soewarna Warehouse at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
