Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung announced that 101 shopping centres in Jakarta will participate in the Jakarta Festive Wonder programme during Ramadan 2026.

The programme offers discounts of up to 70 per cent for the public.

“Firstly, those who will participate in the Jakarta Festive Wonder programme will provide shopping discounts across 101 shopping centres,” said Pramono when opening the Jakarta Ramadan Festival at Bundaran HI in Central Jakarta on Friday, 27 February 2026.

The Jakarta Provincial Government is also preparing tax incentives for businesses to enable significant price reductions to be offered to the public.

Alongside retail discounts, the government and business operators are also preparing price reductions in the hotel sector and facilitating access to several tourist destinations, including Ancol, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, and Taman Margasatwa Ragunan.

The Jakarta Festive Wonder programme carries the theme “Shop Safely, Prices Under Control, Eid Blessings Abound” with a focus on maintaining price stability for essential commodities, increasing public purchasing power, and stimulating the retail and UMKM sectors.

The government is targeting an increase in retail transactions of at least 20 per cent during the Ramadan period.

The series of activities is scheduled to run throughout March 2026, with implementation across shopping centres in five administrative cities and one regency in Jakarta, as well as at several strategic locations including City Hall, municipal offices, MRT stations, and subdistrict offices.

The government hopes the programme will strengthen economic activity whilst attracting members of the public to enjoy the Eid holiday in Jakarta.
