101 Main Irrigation Network Proposals for Lampung in 2026
Acting Director of Irrigation and Wetlands at the Ministry of Public Works, Dedi Yudha Lesmana, stated there are 101 proposals for main irrigation networks in Lampung Province for 2026 to support food self-sufficiency. “For the activities under Presidential Instruction No 2/2025 in 2026 across Lampung Province, spread across 14 regencies and cities, one of the activities includes proposals for main irrigation networks,” said Acting Director Dedi Yudha Lesmana during a food production enhancement meeting in Bandarlampung on Wednesday. He noted that currently, there are 101 proposals for main irrigation networks in areas under provincial or regency authority. “The total area covered by these main irrigation network proposals amounts to 13,927.27 hectares,” he added. For East Lampung Regency, there are 19 proposals covering 607.86 hectares; North Lampung has 12 proposals for 442.25 hectares; Mesuji has 4 proposals covering 1,042.53 hectares; Pesawaran has 9 proposals for 908 hectares; and West Coast has 6 proposals for 232.35 hectares. In Tanggamus Regency, there are 4 proposals covering 315.50 hectares; West Tulang Bawang has 7 proposals for 54.05 hectares; Tulang Bawang has 6 proposals for 2,292 hectares; and Waykanan has 4 proposals for 2,292 hectares. “Meanwhile, for tertiary irrigation networks under central government authority, there are 25 proposals covering a total of 3,038.73 hectares,” he added.
