100 Suspected Fictitious Nutrition Service Points Found in Cilacap, from Forests to Cemeteries

A total of 100 nutrition service fulfilment units (SPPG) in Cilacap Regency, Central Java, are suspected to be fictitious. The matter was disclosed by Acting Regent of Cilacap Ammy Amalia Fatma Surya on Monday (22/6/2026). Ammy explained that the suspected fictitious SPPG points in her region came to light after the Cilacap coordinator of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) conducted field verification at locations proposed for the establishment of kitchens for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme. Upon inspection, 100 points were believed to be fictitious. Besides the absence of any buildings, the points were scattered in the middle of forests and even in cemetery areas. “Yesterday the investigation team and the regional coordinator held a joint meeting, and more than 300 points emerged in Cilacap Regency. After being visited by the SPPG heads appointed by the central BGN, (100) of those points had no buildings whatsoever; some were in the middle of the forest, some in the middle of rice fields, and some in the middle of a cemetery,” Ammy said when interviewed about the findings. She stressed that the practice of buying and selling SPPG points had indeed occurred. “So the issue of trading points and fictitious points is indeed real, and this is what we must fix,” she stated. Ammy explained that registration for the establishment of SPPGs in Cilacap has been temporarily closed. “Following the last meeting with the investigation team, the SPPG point registration portal has been temporarily closed. The fictitious points that have been identified will be removed first. Then we will continue the programme again,” she said.
