100 Santri Experience the World of Mining at Junior Miners Fun Fest 2026

A total of 100 primary school-level santri from Pondok Pesantren Darul Kirom experienced learning about the mining world firsthand during the Junior Miners Fun Fest (JMFF) 2026. The event was held at Avenue of The Stars, Lippo Mall Kemang Village, South Jakarta, on Friday (3/7/2026). Through various interactive educational exhibits, the santri were introduced to mining operational processes in an enjoyable manner. The activity provided a different learning experience whilst broadening their insights into the mining industry and the various professions within it. MIND ID President Director Maroef Sjamsoeddin personally handed over educational aid to the santri as part of MIND ID’s commitment, together with all members of the Group, to supporting equitable access to quality education for Indonesia’s young generation. MIND ID distributed 100 school supply packages containing bags, pencil cases, notebooks, storybooks, pens, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, rulers, tumblers, crayons, and drawing books. During the event, the santri explored various themed exhibits depicting the Group’s mining operational activities, spanning from North Sumatra to Central Papua. The experience provided a direct picture of the mining world whilst opening new insights into educational and professional opportunities they could pursue in the future. Chairman of the Darul Kirom Islamic Boarding School Foundation, KH Ahmad Kamaludin, expressed his appreciation for MIND ID’s consistent support for the students’ education. ‘The children were very enthusiastic and gained new experiences. They could see firsthand things they had previously only learned about in class,’ he said. He noted that MIND ID’s support has provided tangible and sustainable benefits to the boarding school. ‘MIND ID has been helping us for a long time, both through school supplies and other support. We hope this cooperation continues and brings even greater benefits,’ he said.
