100 detained after Cirebon brawl
CIREBON, West Java: At least 100 people have been rounded up
for their involvement in a mass brawl between two villages in
Cirebon, West Java, local police said on Thursday.
Cirebon Police also confiscated a number of knives, Molotov
cocktails, arrows, nails, stones and sharpened sticks used in the
clash on Wednesday between villagers in Dukuh and Karang Kendal
in Kapetakan subdistrict.
Cirebon Police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Ricardo Hutauruk said the
detainees were currently being held for intensive questioning.
No casualties were reported after the brawl that left several
houses damaged. The reason for the clash was not clear. --Antara
