Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Financial Services Authority has blocked nearly 100,000 telephone numbers due to their involvement in scam or fraud activities. Dicky Kartikoyono, Executive Head of the Financial Services Business Conduct Supervisor, Education, and Consumer Protection at OJK, stated that the blocking of these telephone numbers was carried out by OJK through coordination with the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs. β€œThe Satgas Pasti also monitors public reports of scams and coordinates with Komdigi to block 94,294 telephone numbers,” he said on Monday (6/4/2026). OJK has also collaborated with telecommunications operators to prevent and track various scam activities that exploit internet networks. The blocking has also targeted bank account numbers linked to scam and fraud activities. OJK has blocked 460,270 account numbers with total victim funds reaching Rp 585 billion. These actions are facilitated through inter-agency cooperation via the Indonesia Anti-Scam Centre (IASC), established by OJK and Satgas Pasti. In addition, OJK has received complaints regarding illegal financial entities, namely 8,515 illegal online loans, 1,933 complaints about illegal investments, and 68 illegal pawnshops.
