10 Umrah Airlines Relocate to Soekarno-Hatta's Terminal 2F
Ten airlines serving Umrah pilgrim groups have relocated to Terminal 2F at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. The airlines—Loong Air, Hainan Airlines, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Scoot, Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, Egypt Air, Oman Air, Emirates, and Etihad Airways—are now centralised at the dedicated Hajj and Umrah Terminal 2F.
General Manager of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Heru Karyadi, stated on Monday, 13 July 2026, that all stages of the departure service transfer for Umrah groups to Terminal 2F proceeded smoothly. He noted that the successful transition was the result of collaboration between regulators, airlines, ground handling, Umrah Travel Organisers (PPIU), and all stakeholders at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (Persero), or InJourney Airports, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Branch Office completed the phased implementation of the service transfer from 1 to 10 July 2026. During this period, the airport recorded 118 flights, comprising 59 departures and 59 arrivals, with a total of 40,642 passengers. Heru noted that Saudi Arabian Airlines dominated Umrah flight traffic during the implementation phase. Of the total passengers, 20,335 were Umrah pilgrims, representing approximately 50.03 per cent of those served.
The smooth operations during the transition demonstrated that the service relocation could proceed effectively without disrupting services to pilgrims. The move was carried out in accordance with the Director General of Civil Aviation Circular Letter No. SE DJPU 12 of 2026 and the Director General of Hajj and Umrah Implementation Circular Letter No. SE-153/BN/2026. On 10 July 2026, the final day of the third phase of the service transfer, the airport handled 39 flights consisting of 20 departures and 19 arrivals, with a total of 11,285 passengers, including 2,685 Umrah pilgrims.
Heru stated that Soekarno-Hatta Airport is committed to continuously improving service quality through strengthened operational coordination, adequate facilities, and service innovations to provide a more comfortable travel experience for all Umrah pilgrims. The 27,418-square-metre terminal is equipped with facilities designed for the comfort of pilgrims and their accompanying families, including a waiting area with a capacity of up to 3,000 people and a 3,136-square-metre mosque capable of accommodating approximately 1,000 worshippers. Twenty dedicated check-in counters have also been prepared for Umrah pilgrims, ensuring that the departure process and baggage drop are handled separately from regular passengers for a faster and more comfortable departure experience.
