10 Transjakarta routes modified for 17 August Independence Day

PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is modifying services on 10 routes during the commemoration of Indonesia’s Independence Day on 17 August 2026, in line with traffic management measures on a number of roads in Jakarta.

“This adjustment is situational and is carried out taking into account conditions on the ground as well as safety and comfort aspects for customers,” said Head of Transjakarta’s Public Relations and CSR Department Ayu Wardhani in an official statement on Sunday.

The service modification applies to Route 1 Blok M–Kota. This service operates with modifications from 07.30–11.30 WIB and from 16.30–23.00 WIB.

The service is diverted via Corridor 13 and Corridor 9 while continuing to serve the Tegal Mampang, Rawa Barat, Pasar Santa, Tegal Parang, Widya Chandra, Telkomsel, Denpasar and Simpang Kuningan bus stops.

However, the route does not serve the National Monument (Monas) to Masjid Agung bus stops.

Next, Route 3 Kalideres–Monas via Veteran. From 07.30–11.30 WIB and 16.30–23.00 WIB, the route temporarily does not serve the Monas bus stop and is diverted to serve the Pecenongan and Juanda bus stops.

Then, Route 1A Pantai Maju–Balai Kota. From 07.30–11.30 WIB and 16.30–22.00 WIB, the route temporarily does not serve the Monas and Balai Kota bus stops and is diverted to serve the Pecenongan and Juanda bus stops.

Next, Route 2A Pulo Gadung–Rawa Buaya. From 07.30–11.30 WIB and 16.30–22.00 WIB, the route is diverted via Juanda and does not serve the Balai Kota and Gambir 2 bus stops. The service serves the Gambir, Istiqlal, Juanda and Pecenongan bus stops.

Next, Route 5C Cililitan–Juanda. From 07.30–11.30 WIB and 16.30–22.00 WIB, the route temporarily does not serve the Monas and Balai Kota bus stops and is diverted to serve the Istiqlal and Gambir bus stops.

Furthermore, Route 7F Kampung Rambutan–Juanda via Cempaka Putih. From 07.30–11.30 WIB and 16.30–22.00 WIB, the route temporarily does not serve the Monas, Balai Kota and Gambir 2 bus stops and is diverted to serve the Istiqlal and Gambir bus stops.

The next route is 5M Kampung Melayu–Tanah Abang via Cikini. From 18.30–22.00 WIB, the route is temporarily diverted and does not serve the Balai Kota 1 to MNC Center bus stops, but serves the Stasiun Gambir 1 to Galeri Nasional bus stops.

Finally, Route 9D Pasar Minggu–Tanah Abang. From 18.30–22.00 WIB, the route undergoes a route modification via Slipi.

In the direction of Pasar Minggu, the service temporarily does not stop at the Jembatan Serong to Benhil 1 bus stops, while in the direction of Tanah Abang, the service does not stop at the Benhil 2 to Sbr. Jembatan Serong bus stops.

Transjakarta has confirmed that services will continue to operate and the public can still use public transport during the 81st Independence Day commemoration activities.
