A number of stocks on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) have recorded extremely high price surges throughout 2026. The increases are no longer merely in the tens of percent, but have reached hundreds to over 1,000% year-to-date (YTD).

PT Alakasa Industrindo Tbk. (ALKA) leads the list with a 1,148.6% YTD increase. Following it, PT Asia Sejahtera Mina Tbk. (AGAR) strengthened by 558.3%, while PT NexAI Digital Infrastruktur Tbk. (MGLV) surged by 506.4%.

With these achievements, all stocks in the top 10 list have recorded increases of more than 280% since the beginning of the year.

However, such high price surges are not always accompanied by improvements in the companies’ fundamentals that align with the stock price movement. Behind these performances, each issuer has a different story, ranging from corporate actions, changes in ownership, business expansions, to increased trading activity.

Therefore, stock price increases still need to be viewed alongside the business developments and information disclosure of each respective issuer.

ALKA Soars 1,148%, Financial Performance Still Under Pressure

ALKA is the stock with the highest YTD increase on the list, reaching 1,148.6%.

However, this surge in stock price has not been followed by financial performance improvements on the same scale. In the first quarter of 2026, the company booked a net loss of approximately Rp3.9 billion, an increase from a loss of Rp1.2 billion during the same period the previous year. Revenue for ALKA also fell to Rp18.6 billion from Rp69.4 billion in the same period last year.

On the other hand, ALKA stock was included in the Indonesia Stock Exchange’s High Shareholding Concentration (HSC) list in August 2026. The level of share ownership concentration for ALKA was recorded at above 98%.

While HSC status does not inherently indicate a violation, it signifies that the issuer’s share ownership is concentrated among a small number of shareholders. Throughout this year, ALKA stock has also recorded several sharp surges. Between 21–24 July 2026, ALKA surged by 89.66% in a single week, before strengthening again by 167.06% throughout August.

AGAR Surges 558%, Change in Controller Becomes Focus

AGAR stock recorded a YTD increase of 558.3%, placing it second on the list.

A corporate development that has drawn attention occurred in July 2026, when Suprajitmano Sutomo announced plans to acquire at least 51% of AGAR’s shares, potentially becoming the company’s new controller. The plan includes the purchase of 450 million shares from PT Indo Kreasi Pratama and at least an additional 60 million shares from other shareholders.

At the same time, AGAR’s financial performance began to show improvement. In the first half of 2026, net sales rose by approximately 59.5% to Rp141.9 billion. The company also booked a net profit of approximately Rp1.0 billion, reversing from a loss of Rp4.1 billion during the same period the previous year. Like ALKA, AGAR stock also entered the IDX HSC list with a high level of share ownership concentration.

MGLV Surges 506%, Focus Shifts to AI Data Centres

PT NexAI Digital Infrastruktur Tbk. (MGLV) recorded a YTD increase of 506.4%, amidst a major shift in the company’s business direction.

MGLV was previously known as PT Panca Anugrah Wisesa Tbk. and operated in the trading and home interior products business. Following the entry of PT Nextier Datamate Center as the controller, the company changed its name to PT NexAI Digital Infrastruktur Tbk. and shifted its business focus to the development of digital infrastructure and AI data centres.

This change in business direction was followed by several corporate actions. The company divested 13 subsidiaries from its old business to strengthen its focus on the data centre sector.

MGLV also plans to conduct a rights issue of a maximum of 285.73 million shares at an execution price of Rp8,880 per share. Through this action, the company aims to raise approximately Rp2.54 trillion to support the development of its data centre business.

Through its two subsidiaries, MGLV targets the development of data centre facilities with a combined capacity of 102 MW, consisting of 42 MW in Jababeka and 60 MW in Batang. This expansion is also supported by banking funding. Two of MGLV’s subsidiaries have obtained loan facilities of approximately Rp10.75 trillion from BNI to support the development of these two data centre facilities.
