The Lebaran exodus period for 2026 has commenced, with numerous residents from the Greater Jakarta area beginning their journeys using train transport.
Indonesian Railways (Persero) served 165,655 long-distance train passengers in a single day on Friday, 13 March 2026, with occupancy rates reaching 101.4 per cent of the available seating capacity of 163,432 seats.
The upward trend in Lebaran exodus travel for 2026 is projected to continue until 14 March 2026 at 09:00 WIB (Western Indonesia Time).
KAI also anticipates continued passenger movement on subsequent days.
