10,000 Passengers Leave Bandung by Train on H-5 before Eid 2026

Bandung — PT Kereta Api Daerah Operasi (Daop) 2 Bandung reported that approximately 10,000 passengers left Bandung on Monday, 16 March 2026 (H-5 before Eid), travelling to their hometowns by train.

Kuswardojo, Public Relations Manager of KAI Daop 2 Bandung, stated that the 10,000 departing passengers utilised two main stations: Bandung Station with 5,459 passengers and Kiaracondong Station with 5,183 passengers.

“In total, 16,128 passengers departed today from all stations across Daop 2 Bandung, with the largest number from Bandung,” Kuswardojo said.

He noted that cumulatively, from 11 to 16 March 2026, 94,415 passengers departed from all stations under Daop 2 Bandung, whilst 83,409 passengers arrived during the same period.

On 16 March 2026, a total of 14,347 passengers arrived at all stations in the Daop 2 Bandung region, with Bandung Station recording 4,301 arrivals and Kiaracondong Station 1,921 arrivals.

Regarding ticket sales for the Eid holiday transport period from 11 March to 1 April 2026, a total of 270,762 tickets had been sold as of 16 March 2026, representing an occupancy rate of 78.3 per cent of the 345,840 available seats provided.
