The Tangerang City Metropolitan Police Resort is deploying 1,839 personnel to secure Takbiran night for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah. These thousands of combined personnel are stationed at 41 strategic points across Tangerang City.

“This afternoon, we are conducting a readiness roll call for Takbiran night security simultaneously across the Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police Command. Specifically, at the Tangerang City Metropolitan Police Resort, we have prepared a total of 1,839 combined personnel,” said the Tangerang City Metropolitan Police Chief, Commissioner Raden Muhammad Jauhari, to reporters on Friday (20/3/2026).

In Operation Ketupat Jaya 2026, the Tangerang City Metropolitan Police Resort has also prepared seven security posts, consisting of one security post, five service posts, and one integrated post.

Not only for Takbiran night security, the combined personnel are also deployed to 100 points to secure Eid al-Fitr prayers tomorrow.

“It is reported that there are around 100 locations for Eid al-Fitr prayers, both in open fields and mosques, which we have prepared security for,” he said.

Jauhari stated that his ranks are conducting patrols to monitor the situation of roaming takbir and regional security conditions. He urged the public not to conduct vehicle convoys during Takbiran night.

“We urge the public not to carry out roaming takbir convoys on the roads. It is better to perform takbir at mosques or prayer rooms to avoid disrupting order. If any members of the public are found still conducting convoys, we will approach them persuasively and humanely,” he emphasised.

He said that up to now, there have been no reports of thefts from empty houses left by owners who have gone home for the holidays. Jauhari reminded the public not to leave valuables in their homes when leaving and to inform neighbours and the police.

“At the very least, entrust the house to neighbours or local security officers,” he said.

Jauhari reminded that the Tangerang City Metropolitan Police Resort, including its sub-district police stations, is opening free vehicle storage services for the public travelling home for Eid.

“We are voluntarily providing free parking for the public travelling home so that their vehicles remain safe,” he concluded.
