The General Chairman of GAMMA (Indonesian Metalworking and Machinery Industry Association), Dadang Asikin, noted that IIW Indonesia 2026 arrives at a crucial time to strengthen national industrial competitiveness amidst intense global challenges. “Through this international forum, we hope to create more concrete collaborations, technology transfers, new investment opportunities, and business partnerships capable of driving Indonesian industry to become more modern, independent, and globally competitive,” Asikin emphasised.
Notably, IIW Indonesia 2026 is not only an arena for large corporations but also a golden stage for local governments to attract global investors. For instance, the Padang Panjang City Government of West Sumatra utilised the event to expand its international network. The Mayor of Padang Panjang, Hendri Arnis, BSBA, stated that their presence is a strategic step to showcase regional potential. “We directly invite global business actors and investors to see the golden opportunities available in Padang Panjang. In addition to our rapidly growing economic potential, we offer rich culture, a conducive environment, and highly attractive tourism destinations,” said Hendri Arnis.

Full support has also been provided by the Jakarta Provincial Government. The Head of the Industrial Division of Jakarta Province, Juanda Permana Jaya, emphasised that strong synergy between regulators, industrial players, and international partners is key to facing global economic dynamics. “Exhibitions like IIW provide the much-needed space for industrial players to expand business networks, adopt the latest technologies, and build strategic partnerships for sustainable industrial transformation,” said Juanda.
As a tangible form of global collaboration, this year’s exhibition also features a special Malaysia Pavilion, showcasing innovations and flagship products from top Malaysian companies, while opening opportunities for closer bilateral cooperation.
