1,665 Passengers Arrive at Kampung Rambutan Terminal on Friday Afternoon

Jakarta (ANTARA) - A total of 1,665 passengers arrived at Kampung Rambutan Terminal in East Jakarta on H+6 of Lebaran, or up to Friday afternoon, using intercity interprovincial (AKAP) buses, based on operational data from 06:00 to 14:00 WIB. “That number comes from 83 buses arriving from various cities on Java and Sumatra during that period,” said Kampung Rambutan Terminal Controller Mulyono to ANTARA in Jakarta on Friday. Meanwhile, the number of departures on Friday was recorded at 487 passengers using 74 AKAP buses. For Transjabodetabek transport, 275 passengers arrived with 11 buses, and departures reached 82 passengers with the same number of vehicles. This data shows that Kampung Rambutan Terminal is still one of the main points of arrival for returnees to Jakarta during the Lebaran return flow period in 2026. Terminal staff, Mulyono said, continue to monitor passenger and vehicle movements to ensure smooth operations as well as the safety and comfort of terminal users. He added that the peak return flow at Kampung Rambutan previously occurred on Wednesday (25/3) with the arrival of 217 AKAP buses carrying 7,144 passengers. That number was higher than the outbound Lebaran peak on H-3 on 18 March 2026, which reached 5,336 passengers with the same number of buses. Mulyono also mentioned that the second wave of the return flow peak is estimated to occur on Sunday (29/3), in line with the ongoing arrivals of returnees from various regions. To anticipate the surge in passengers, the terminal management has coordinated with TNI and Police authorities to ensure security during the return flow period. In addition, the terminal management is also collaborating with Transjakarta and JakLingko to prepare additional fleets, especially to serve passengers arriving from evening until early morning.
