Banda Aceh (ANTARA) - As many as 1,620 family heads (KK) who are survivors of flash floods and landslides spread across 14 sub-districts in North Aceh Regency have received transitional housing funds (DTH) while awaiting the construction of permanent housing (huntap). “North Aceh Regent Ismail A Jalil today symbolically handed over the DTH to flood survivors, and subsequently, the disbursement process will be carried out directly into the respective beneficiaries’ accounts through Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI),” said North Aceh Government Spokesperson Muntasir Ramli when contacted from Banda Aceh on Thursday. According to him, the flood survivors receiving the DTH are spread across Baktiya, West Baktiya, Bandar Baro, Dewantara, Langkahan, Meurah Mulia, Muara Batu, Nibong, Nisam, Sawang, Seuneddon, Syamtalira Aron, Tanah Jambo Aye, and Tanah Luas sub-districts. Meanwhile, for other sub-districts, the proposals are still in process and will be provided in the next stage. Muntasir added that the government provided two options to flood disaster survivors during the post-disaster data collection, namely staying in temporary housing (huntara) or staying in rented accommodation with DTH amounting to Rp600,000 per month.
