Bekasi (ANTARA) - PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) recorded 1,505,505 vehicles passing through the Mohammed Bin Zayed (MBZ) Elevated Road section during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah holiday period in 2026, encompassing both outbound and return journeys.

“The total volume of vehicles passing during that period reached 1,505,505 vehicles, an increase of 44.87% compared to normal traffic of 1,039,230 vehicles,” said JJC President Director Hendri Taufik in Bekasi, West Java, on Thursday.

He stated that, based on travel direction, the volume of vehicles leaving Jakarta was recorded at 767,906 vehicles, up 48.07% from normal traffic of 518,607 vehicles.

Meanwhile, the volume of vehicles heading towards Jakarta reached 737,599 vehicles, an increase of 41.68% compared to normal traffic of 520,623 vehicles.

The company continues to ensure that operational services run optimally during this year’s Eid al-Fitr period. Various security measures and traffic engineering efforts have also been implemented to maintain the smoothness and safety of road users.

Hendri also expressed thanks to all road users who utilised the MBZ Elevated Road section during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah holiday period.

“We appreciate the cooperation, patience, and compliance of road users in maintaining order and safety during their journeys, so that traffic flow during the outbound and return periods could proceed well,” he said.

He urged road users passing through the MBZ Elevated Road section to always prioritise safety by ensuring the condition of the driver and vehicle is in prime condition, as well as maintaining sufficient electrical power or fuel (BBM).

Road users are also asked to anticipate potential weather changes, particularly rainy conditions that can affect visibility and road surface conditions, so that journeys can proceed safely and comfortably until reaching the destination.
