1,461 THR Complaints Recorded, Ministry of Manpower Promises Intensive Follow-Up
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Ministry of Manpower has recorded 1,461 complaints about holiday allowances (THR) that are still in the process of being handled. A total of 173 cases have been declared resolved.
The data was compiled as of 25 March 2026 at 15:00 WIB. From the reports that have been followed up, 200 Performance Inspection Result Reports, 7 Inspection Notes I, and 4 recommendations have been issued.
Director General of Labour Supervision and Occupational Safety and Health Development Ismail Pakaya stated that every complaint is continuously monitored until completion.
“The data shows that incoming complaints are continuously monitored to ensure they result in the fulfilment of workers’ rights,” said Ismail in an official statement on Thursday (26/3/2026).
“Therefore, labour supervisors will continue to monitor all reports until there is a concrete, measurable resolution that provides certainty for workers,” Ismail continued.
Ismail also urged companies to promptly fulfil their obligation to pay THR. Payments do not need to wait for warnings or inspections.
“Our message is clear: pay THR on time, in accordance with regulations, and do not wait to be warned. Workers’ rights must be protected, and the government will ensure that,” Ismail said.
Minister of Manpower Yassierli emphasised that every complaint must be followed up quickly. Handling does not stop at administration.
“Governors should immediately deploy labour supervisors to follow up on every report received through the Ministry of Manpower’s THR Post or THR posts at labour offices,” said Yassierli.
“I ask governors to immediately deploy labour supervisors to examine every incoming report, whether through the Ministry of Manpower’s THR Post or posts at labour offices,” he stated.
