1,410 Housing Units for Low-Income Residents Completed in Bali
A total of 1,410 housing units in Bali have been completed for the Low-Income Resident (MBR) programme. This was discussed during an online coordination meeting between the Bali Provincial Government and the Ministry of Housing and Residential Areas on Wednesday (30/09/2026).
The Head of the Nusa Tenggara I Housing and Residential Areas Office, Lilik Lastantyo Adiarso, stated that the realisation of housing assistance units has seen an increase.
“Meanwhile, for 2026, the target is to reach 4,184 units. From that target, 387 units have reached 100 per cent completion,” said Lilik in a written statement received on Thursday (01/10/2026).
Consequently, Lilik continued, steps must be taken to accelerate progress during the remaining three months to ensure the established targets are met.
Additionally, a programme currently being fast-tracked is the construction of low-cost flats for artists and low-income residents in Denpasar. Each unit is designed as a Type 36, with a total of 60 units being constructed.
The Ministry of Housing and Residential Areas also noted that the realisation of the Housing Programme Credit in Bali is very high at 99.9 per cent, with a disbursement value of approximately Rp 1 trillion.
Responding to this, the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, stated that Bali’s achievements should not only be viewed through the lens of Housing Programme Credit, but also through credit programmes in other sectors.
Furthermore, he expressed that the programme is highly beneficial for the people of Bali. “This programme is very helpful for the Balinese people, particularly those who are less fortunate,” said Koster.
