1,408 Madrasahs Admitted to Revitalisation Programme This Year
A total of 1,408 madrasah facilities across Indonesia have met the criteria for revitalisation, according to the Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP), M. Qodari.
Speaking in Jakarta on Monday, Qodari stated that 2,120 madrasahs had been proposed under the revitalisation programme, with 1,408 of these meeting the established criteria.
The revitalisation initiative has been incorporated into the 2026 Rapid Results Programme (PHTC) for Madrasahs, which is being implemented by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag).
βThe implementation scheme operates through a selective approach. This programme supports the enhancement of religious education quality,β Qodari said.
He explained that the programme employs two financing schemes: 556 projects under Single Year Contracts (SYC) and 852 projects under Multi Year Contracts (MYC).
Beyond strengthening the quality of madrasah-based education, Qodari stated that the revitalisation programme is expected to generate broader economic benefits for the wider community.
He added that all stages of the revitalisation implementation, including budget monitoring and oversight procedures, are being conducted rigorously to ensure the programme operates transparently, with accountability and delivers maximum benefit to the public.
