1,200 Personnel Deployed in Operation Ketupat Lodaya at Cirebon Police Resort
A total of 1,200 combined personnel have been mobilised for security operations during Operation Ketupat Lodaya 2026 in the jurisdiction of the Cirebon Police Resort.
“A total of 1,200 combined personnel will be involved in Operation Ketupat Lodaya 2026. In accordance with leadership directives, all personnel involved in this operation will tonight occupy all designated posts,” stated Cirebon Police Resort Commander Kombes Pol Imara Utama, following a parade and briefing of Operation Ketupat Lodaya 2026 forces on Thursday (12 March).
According to Imara, 11 posts have been established for the operation. These consist of service posts, security posts and an integrated post at KM188, working in coordination with the Highway Traffic Corps (Korlantas) and other relevant agencies.
When asked about the peak period for the exodus, Imara predicted it would occur on Saturday (14 March). “We predict there could be several waves,” Imara stated. “However, the nearest peak is expected on Saturday (14 March). For now, traffic flow remains normal.”
Regarding U-turn closures, Kombes Pol Imara explained that closures would be implemented situationally. “U-turn closures are situational in nature. If the situation remains calm, we maintain normal operations. However, if there is an increase in vehicle volume causing congestion, we close the U-turns,” Imara said.
Cirebon Regent Imron stated that the parade and briefing represented a check on personnel readiness and infrastructure, whilst reinforcing cross-sector coordination in providing services to the public during the exodus and Eid al-Fitr celebrations. “Operation Ketupat 2026 will run for 13 days, from 13 to 25 March 2026. This operation aims to ensure that the entire exodus and Eid al-Fitr celebrations proceed safely, comfortably, orderly and smoothly for the public,” Imron said.
Based on surveys conducted by the Ministry of Transportation, national movement potential during this Eid is estimated to reach 143.9 million people across Indonesia. “Therefore, various strategic measures have been prepared to provide maximum service to the public undertaking the exodus and return journey,” he added.
The operation’s success depends heavily on the readiness of official vehicles as operational resources for mobilising personnel throughout the operation period.
