JAKARTA - The volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area from H-10 to H-4, or 11-17 March 2026, reached 1,213,388 vehicles.

This figure is the accumulation of traffic flow from four main toll gates (GT), namely GT Cikampek Utama (towards Trans Java), GT Kalihurip Utama (towards Bandung), GT Cikupa (towards Merak), and GT Ciawi (towards Puncak).

The President Director of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, Rivan A. Purwantono, stated that the 1.2 million vehicles represent only one-third of the predicted total vehicles that will exit during this year’s mudik season.

“The 1.2 million vehicles that have left the Jabodetabek area constitute 34.4 percent of the total projection of 3.5 million exiting vehicles from Jakarta during the period of 11-31 March 2026,” Rivan said in an official statement on Wednesday (18/3/2026).

The distribution of traffic leaving Jabodetabek is dominated by the eastern direction, namely towards Trans Java and Bandung, with 612,956 vehicles (50.5 percent).

Traffic heading towards Trans Java through GT Cikampek Utama on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road was recorded at 387,451 vehicles, an increase of 95.6 percent from normal conditions.

Meanwhile, traffic heading towards Bandung through GT Kalihurip Utama on the Cipularang Toll Road reached 225,505 vehicles, an increase of 2.3 percent from normal conditions.

In total, traffic heading towards Trans Java and Bandung through both GTs reached 612,956 vehicles, an increase of 46.5 percent from normal conditions.

Traffic heading towards Merak through GT Cikupa on the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road was recorded at 353,032 vehicles, an increase of 4.7 percent from normal conditions.

  1. Southern Direction (Puncak)

Meanwhile, the number of vehicles heading towards Puncak through GT Ciawi on the Jagorawi Toll Road was 247,400 vehicles, or 0.3 percent lower than normal conditions.
