The Head of the Class 1 Mataram Health Quarantine Centre, Herman Nugraha, disclosed the number of Hajj pilgrims from NTB province suffering from severe high risk (risti). Of the total pilgrims arriving in the Holy Land, 1,194 fall into the severe risti category.

“There are 1,194 pilgrims with severe risti, 1,019 with medium risti, and 1,362 with mild risti,” Nugraha said when met at the Lombok Embarkation Hajj Dormitory on Friday (8/5/2026).

Nugraha stated that from 5,102 pilgrims starting from batch 1 to batch 13, 603 individuals have been referred to NTB’s Provincial General Hospital. From that data, 33 pilgrims received referrals, and 30 were placed under observation.

“So there is one pilgrim suffering from tuberculosis. Therefore, the Quarantine Centre has agreed not to dispatch the individual as it could infect other pilgrims,” Nugraha explained.

Nugraha elaborated that of the 1,194 pilgrims in the severe risti category, most suffer from low HB, heart conditions, and diseases that must be followed up in hospital.

“So I cannot explain further. For the condition of pilgrims in the Holy Land, we have not updated yet. We will update later,” he emphasised.

Previously, the Head of the Class 1 Mataram Health Quarantine Centre, Herman Nugraha, stated that 20 Hajj pilgrims had been treated at NTB’s Provincial General Hospital. Of those 20 pilgrims, 9 have been dispatched by switching seats to other batches, 7 are still waiting for the next seat, 1 is still under treatment, and 2 are confirmed not to depart.

“Those two pilgrims: one suffered a broken leg, and the other has tuberculosis or TB,” Nugraha said.
