1,120 Angkot Drivers in Sukabumi Granted Holiday During Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG – A total of 1,120 city transport (angkot) drivers in the Cibadak area of Sukabumi Regency, West Java, will be given leave during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah holiday period on 23, 24, and 29 March 2026. The policy is expected to help alleviate traffic congestion.
West Java Transportation Office Secretary Diding Abidin stated that six routes in Sukabumi Regency operating in the Cibadak area will be suspended during the Idul Fitri holiday. He said the drivers are requested to halt operations for three days.
Diding mentioned that the drivers will receive compensation of Rp 200,000 per day during the Eid holiday. “Compensation of Rp 200,000 per day is provided. For three days, the total is Rp 600,000,” he said, quoted on Monday (23/3/2026).
He hopes that the policy of granting leave to angkot drivers can reduce traffic congestion, especially during the return flow. His office has recorded the details of the angkot drivers.
