RI tourism needs to be more competitive : UN-WTO

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The UN-World Tourism Organization (UN-WTO) is of the opinion that Indonesian tourism should be more competitive than other countries in the Asian region. "Indonesian tourism is very good but it should be more competitive," Coordinator Consulting Unit on Tourism and Biodiversity UN-WTO, Jurgen Nauber, told ANTARA News here on Wednesday.

"Investment realization in Indonesia usually requires two or five years` time so that what was realized in 2010 must have been agreed on in 2005-2008," said Latif Adam, a researcher with the Indonesian Science Institute`s Center for Economic Development, on Wednesday.
