Floods and Landslides Kill 21 in Central Java; Rescue Operation Continues as Weather Warnings Persist

Twenty-one people have been killed and five remain missing following catastrophic floods and landslides across nine villages in Central Java province, with rescue teams mobilising over 200 personnel to search through heavily damaged areas. Infrastructure damage is extensive, including three collapsed bridges, a destroyed dam, and 25 damaged homes, whilst nearly 300 residents have been displaced to temporary government shelters following an emergency declaration for two weeks.
