At the 47th ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Indonesia has urged stronger regional economic integration as a buffer against mounting global trade tensions and U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods. Led by Coordinating Minister Airlangga Hartarto, Jakarta is pushing for accelerated implementation of the ASEAN Economic Community and digital trade frameworks to reduce dependence on external markets.
