Indonesia has unveiled an ambitious strategy to deploy 425,000 migrant workers overseas in 2025, combining comprehensive job mapping, enhanced training programmes, and stricter regulatory enforcement to address unemployment and boost economic growth. The initiative is projected to generate remittances exceeding Rp300 trillion and increase GDP by 0.52%, whilst the government intensifies efforts to protect workers against exploitation by illegal recruitment agents.
