A Trigana Air ATR 42-500 aircraft skidded off the runway at Stevanus Rumbewas Airport in Papua's Yapen Islands, with all 48 passengers and crew members safely evacuated to hospital for treatment. The incident occurred approximately one minute after the aircraft began taxiing, skidding roughly 1,200 metres from the runway's starting point. The cause remains under investigation, though authorities confirmed no fatalities and that the aircraft was in proper condition before takeoff.
