Indonesian Tourism Minister Sandiaga Uno confirmed the government is reviewing proposals to extend visa exemptions to 10-20 additional countries, including China, the US, France, India, and the UK, with finalisation targeted before October's government transition. The initiative aims to boost tourism competitiveness with neighbouring countries and generate up to $40 billion in economic benefits, with Chinese tourists expected to reach 1.2 million visitors this year.
