BKPM: S`pore biggest investor in RI last year

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Singapore was the biggest source of foreign investment in Indonesia last year having sunk a total of US$5.1 billion in various projects, the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) said. With US$5.1 billion worth of investments, Singapore topped the list of five biggest foreign investment source countries last year, BKPM Chief Gita Wirjawan said at the Jakarta International Expo at the Kemayoran fairground in Central Jakarta on Thursday.

Investment in RI grows 20.5 pct last year

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Domestic and foreign investment in Indonesia grew 20.5 percent to Rp251.3 trillion last year from Rp208.5 trillion the year before, the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) said. "Despite the economic crises in Europe and the US, investment in Indonesia showed very good growth," BKPM Chief Gita Wirjawan who is also the trade minister said at the Jakarta International Expo here on Thursday.

Human resources' quality RI's strongest asset : foreign investor

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesia`s strongest asset in its working relations with foreign investors is the quality of its human resources, a foreign businessman said. "In my opinion, its human resources are Indonesia`s strongest point in attracting foreign capital to work and do business in this country. People here are great and valuable," Gerard Guillouet, vice president of Accor Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore said here Thursday.
