Bali Gearing Up for Obama Visit
Indonesian Security Measures Gearing Up in Anticipation of East Asia Summit and Visit by U.S. President Barack Obama The White House has confirmed that plans are moving ahead to welcome U.S. President Barack Obama to Bali in mid-November. Obama will travel from Washington, D.C. to his home state of Hawaii where he will host the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit. From Hawaii he will visit Australia on November 16-17, 2011, before flying to Bali to participate in the East Asia summit.

RI urges Australia to sign Montara oil spill compensation accord
Bengkulu (ANTARA News) - Indonesia has urged the Australian government to soon sign an accord on payment of compensation over the 2009 Montara oil spill in the Timor Sea, Environment Minister Mohammad Gusti Hatta said. "The signing of the agreement was delayed because there was a change in the Australian energy and mineral resources minister`s post but we are now asking that the accord be signed soon," the minister said here Monday.
