Wilmar Q1 net profit down 3.7 pct, remains positive on outlook
SINGAPORE, May 13 (Reuters) - Wilmar International , the world's largest listed palm oil firm, posted a smaller-than-expected fall in first-quarter net profit hit by weakness in consumer products segment, derivative losses and loss from its new sugar milling business. The firm, which generated more than half of its revenue from China, has been hit by government price control on vegetable oils as Beijing try to rein in food inflation.

US$ 683 Million Needed for Solar Energy Investment
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The government needs an investment of around US$ 683 million to optimize solar energy as an energy resource. The investment is needed to produce solar electricity with a capacity of 180 megawatts (MW) in 2013. Energy and Mineral Resource Minister Darwin Zahedy Saleh, explained that solar energy was very important for energy diversification as national fuel production has diminished.

National investor to build sugar mill in Pandeglang
Pandeglang, Banten (ANTARA News) - National company PT Geulis Tebu Perkasa plans to build a sugar mill and open sugarcane plantations in Pandeglang district, Banten province. The company had already applied for a permit to build a sugar mill and open sugarcane plantations, Head of the Pandeglang Integrated Licencing Service Board (BPPT) Djadja Suhardja said here on Thursday.
