Taiwan to Explore Investment Opportunity in South Sulawesi
TEMPO Interactive, Makassar:Taiwan, through the Chamber of Trade and Industry, is considering investing in South Sulawesi. “I just found out that South Sulawesi is the biggest seaweed producer in the world. I’m interested and the meeting could be the beginning of an investment,” said Taiwan trade representative, Andrew Li-Yan Hsia, when meeting South Sulawesi Governor Syahrul Yasin Limpo yesterday.

America Asked for Energy Investment Certainty
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The United States has asked the Indonesian government for certainty on time limited contracts, especially for oil and gas development. “We don’t want modifications on contracts once they are agreed on,” Tom Cutler from the United States Department of Energy said yesterday. The US department requested certainty saying length bureaucratic processes in Indonesia were a disincentive for American investors.
