Indonesia gets first seismic vessel
By Rangga D. Fadillah Oil and gas company Elnusa and France-based seismic service provider CGGVeritas have teamed up to operate the first Indonesian-flagged seismic vessel to support oil and gas exploration in Indonesia and the Asia Pacific area. Elnusa president director Suharyanto said the vessel would begin operating at the end of the second quarter of this year and was expected to generate US$55 million in total revenue by the end of 2012.

Green palm oil and Indonesia Inc. 2015
The Netherlands has recently decided that from 2015 it will be committed to only using sustainable palm oil, a step that has significantly boosted the standing of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). At this stage The Netherlands is the only European country to have made such a commitment, but later it could snowball as other US and European companies have thrown their weight behind it and are likely to also adopt such steps.

RI govt targets $200 bln in investments until 2025
Bogor, West Java (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said Indonesia will need more than US$200 billion in investment until 2025 to accelerate and expand economic development in Southeast Asia`s largest economy.

Govt Aims High With Economic Development Plan
Indonesia expects to become the world’s 12th-largest economy by 2025 through stimulating domestic growth with its planned economic corridor scheme and programs to improve regional connectivity. A document from the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy obtained by the Berita Satu Media Group on Monday showed that the government has targeted boosting gross domestic product to between $3.8 trillion and $4.5 trillion in 2025 from $700 billion in 2010, when the country was the 17th-largest economy.
