RI investment chief to meet us tycoon Warren Buffet
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The head of the Investment Coordinating Agency, Gita Wiryawan, is planning to meet US investor Warren Buffet and invite the latter to invest US$1 billion in Indonesia. "I want to ask him (Warren Buffet) to invest only US$1 billion in Indonesia," Gita said on the sidelines of an investor summit here Thursday, adding that he would meet Buffet next year.

RI govt to invest up to Rp2,400 trillion to develop Sulawesi
Jakarta (ANTARA News)- The government plans to invest up to Rp2,400 trillion to develop Sulawesi, Fisheries and Marine Resources Minister Fadel Muhammad said. The development projects in Sulawesi would include among others construction of railway tracks and developing rice producing centers, he said here on Thursday. "There are parts of overall Sulawesi development that would cost up to Rp2,400 trillion in investment.

BKPM optimistic 2011 investment to reach Rp240 trillion
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Capital Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) is optimistic realization of investment in 2011 would reach Rp240 trillion as more investors would come to the country, its chief, Gita Wirjawan said here on Thursday. He said in the months ahead it was believed more investors would come to invest in the country. He said based on the results of his meeting with investors in Turkey recently investors believed Indonesia had good economic fundamentals.
