Slovakia to invest $1 bn in Indonesia
Slovakia was planning to invest US$ 1 billion in Indonesia, visiting Slovakia President Ivan Gasparovic told reporters on Monday in Jakarta. He said the investment plan would be included in seven agreements due to be signed on Tuesday. Gasparovic delivered the plan after meeting with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in Merdeka Palace Jakarta on Monday.

Nestle has no plans to invest $200 million in cocoa plantation
PT Nestlé Indonesia announced on Monday that the company had no plans to invest US$200 million in cocoa plantations in Indonesia. The statement was made following a news report published in www.thejakartapost.com sourced from Antara news agency on Friday about the firm’s investment plans, quoting Indonesian Cocoa Association (Askindo) chairman Zulhefi Sikumbang. “PT Nestlé Indonesia does not have any plan to invest in a cocoa plantation, as plantation is not our core business.

Cocoa Giant Builds Factory in RI
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: A giant in the cocoa industry, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) Cocoa, plans to build a processing plant in Indonesia. "ADM has expressed its interest,” the Industry Ministry’s Food, Maritime Products and Fishery director, Faiz Ahmad, said yesterday. ADM is the third-largest cocoa producer in the world and Indonesia could fulfill its raw material supply.

Nestle to invest $200 mln in Indonesia
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Nutrition, health and wellness company Nestle SA plans to build a cocoa processing plant in Indonesia at a cost of US$200 million to benefit from growing market in the country. Nestle's investment plan must receive support from the government because it would create more jobs, Chief of the Indonesian Cocoa Producers Association (Askindo) Zulhefi Sikumbang said here on Friday.

Tourist arrivals in Bali up 9.97 pct
Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA News) - More than 1.84 million foreign tourists visited Bali in the eight months though August 2011, up 9.97 percent from the same period a year earlier. "Most of the tourists came to Bali via Ngurah Rai airport by direct flights from their countries. Only 22,757 of them went to Bali by cruise liners," Head of the Bali Provincial Statistics Office Gede Suarsa said. Bali has set the target of tourist arrivals for 2011 at 2.6-2.8 million.

Slovakian companies to invest us$1 bln in RI
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said that a number of private Slovakian companies want to invest US$1 billion in a number of business sectors in Indonesia. In a joint press conference with Slovakian President Ivan Gasparovic here on Monday, Yudhoyono said that the Slovakian firms would cooperate with Indonesian counterparts in the development of cement factories in Central Java and West Papua.
