Indonesia past financial crisis, says Bank of New York Mellon

Indonesia, with its strong economic fundamentals, has successfully passed through the global financial crisis, a global banking official says. During a brief visit on Thursday to the trading floor of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the chairman of the Bank of New York Mellon Asia Pacific branch, Christopher R. Sturdy, said that while inflation may pick up in coming months, the Indonesian economy would remain stable until the end of the year.
