Follow the money: $400 million Indonesia commitment has players scurrying
In Indonesia, the news came fast and furious over the week on the heels of a $400 million commitment by the World Bank’s Trust Fund Committee of the Clean Technology Fund (CTF) to help transform Indonesia’s use of renewable energy endorsed. The plan will use co-financing from the multilateral CTF to expand large-scale geothermal power plants, doubling their output, and to accelerate initiatives to promote energy efficiency and renewable energy.

India Interested in Geothermal Investment in Indonesia
TEMPO Interactive, Mumbai:The Biggest Utility Sector Company from India, Tata Power, has revealed its interest in investing in geothermal power plants (PLTP) in Indonesia. In the short term, Tata Power is targeting a production potential of up until 1,500 MW. Some time ago, the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources issued a list of 92 projects to be build in the second stage of the acceleration program. The state power company PLN will develop 21 power plants.
