Coffee to be included in plantation revitalization program
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Ministry of Agriculture will include coffee as one of the commodities to be prioritized in the plantation revitalization program next year, a minister said. Agriculture Minister Suswono said here on Saturday that at present the plantation revitalization program only included three commodities, namely oil palm, rubber and cacao. Minister wants end to RI`s raw material exporting era
Bandung, West Java (ANTARA News) - Industry Minister MS Hidayat said Indonesia needs to stop being an exporter of raw materials so as to develop its own industries. "It is my ambition to increase the volume of exports of goods other than raw materials. Our raw materials should be feedstock for our own industries," Hidayat said at the opening of an "Increasing Domestic Product Use" Expo 2010 here on Saturday.

Govt to develop Arabica coffee
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The government will focus on the development of Arabica coffee next year, a cabinet minister said. "Indonesia`s arabica coffee is quite popular in the world market, therefore, the government will focus on the development of arabica coffee. This type of coffee had contributed 30 percent to national coffee production so that it is expected to increase in the future, Agriculture Minister Suswono said here over the weekd.
